Every Mom in America Needs to Hear Their Stories!!!
Rebecca Friedrichs, an elementary school teacher from California, became very concerned about the policies and politics of the teachers’ union that she was forced to financially support through Union dues. Her concern led her on an unexpected crusade to expose teacher’s unions and protect the rights of teachers. In 2016, Rebecca did something about it–big time! Rebecca sued the California teachers union and the case went all the way to the Supreme Court. Because of her work and a subsequent case, teachers unions can no longer mandate teachers join a specific union or even join a union at all. Teachers now have the freedom to choose! Rebecca is the founder of For Kids and Country and the author of “Standing Up to Goliath.”
In 2011, Kelley Williams-Bolar was sent to jail for enrolling her two daughters to a school outside of their home district in Akron, Ohio. Her only thought was her litle girls. At the encouragement of her father, Kelley used her father’s address so her two daughters could enroll at a better school. That, apparently, is a criminal offense–and real, up-close personal proof of how messed up our education system is. This should never happen in America and Kelley is on a mission to make sure it doesn’t. Her passion is to ensure parents, no matter where they live or what color they are, have the freedom to choose the best educational options for their own children. Kelley’s upcoming book “The Mom: Kelley Williams Bolar Story” is coming out May 30th.
