On Wednesday, December 4th, 2019, Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood employee, turned activist, was a recipient of an Impact Award, that highlights “unsung warriors in various fields.”  In her speech, Abby said “I’ve had enough.”  Moms for America would like to applaud that statement and join Abby in saying “We’ve had enough with the harm that is happening to our children, unborn and living!” The award is well deserved.   Below part of Abby’s speech.  You can find out more from CNS News.

“I just want to encourage you today,” said Abby Johnson. “I look around our society and there are so many things that plague us today. We see that there is this moral decay in our society. We see that there is this LGBT agenda being pushed on our children through the public education system and in some cases the private education system. We see that our children are being taught to be tolerant in the name of pushing beliefs that they have been taught, to the side.”

“It is truly indoctrination and I am just here to say that I’ve had enough,” said Johnson.  “I have had enough. I have had enough of people telling our children that the moral decay in our society is normal. I’ve had enough of over 2,000 babies being killed in the womb every single day in the name of choice. I’ve had enough.”

“And I believe that it is time for all of us patriots to stand up and to say enough,” she continued.  “And to stop worrying about offending the other side, people on the other side of these issues because — let me tell you something friends — people on the other side of these issues, they are not in the least bit concerned about offending you. People who are offended by the truth will always be offended. And people like us must always be willing to offend them with the truth.”

At the 2020 Golden Globes Award ceremony, actress Michelle Williams made the following statement, after receiving an award for portraying Gwen Verdon in the FX series, Fosse/Verdon:

“I’m grateful for the acknowledgment of the choices I’ve made, and I’m also grateful to live at a moment in our society where choice exists, because, as women and as girls, things can happen to our bodies that are not our choice. I’ve tried my very best to live a life of my own making and not just a series of events that happened to me but one that I can stand back and look at and recognize my handwriting messy and scrawling sometimes careful and precise, but one that I have carved with my own hand and I wouldn’t have been able to do this without employing a woman’s right to choose. To choose when to have my children and with whom. .. Now, I know my choices might look different than yours, but thank God, or whomever you pray to, that we live in a country founded on the principles that I am free to live by my faith and you are free to live by yours, ” she continued. “So women, 18 to 118, when it is time to vote, please do so in your own self interest.  It’s what men have been doing for years.”

Now for the commentary:

One principle that Americans continuously forget, one that is written in the Declaration of Independence, is the recognition of life.  Life is a foundation desire of all citizens.  Born and unborn.  That said, we cannot tell from Ms. Williams statement what her story was, nor should we.  That is her story.  Hollywood doesn’t have a moral high ground just because they stand on a stage with a microphone and camera.  They also do not get a right to change history.

When anyone looks at history we must remember that we cannot insert today’s culture into yesterday’s way of living.  Consider it being similar to obtaining a passport to a different country.  Cultures differ around the world and we must respect them if we chose to visit their country.  The same idea is to be used when looking at history.  So let’s be careful when we throw around terms that demote the men in our lives.  Women through out all time have been equally influential in events and within their families.

And one last item to note:  Moms of America, yes, we will admit that voting in our self interest is part and parcel of ensuring that our children retain the same liberties to raise a family, to have as many children as they and the Lord agree is right for their family, and that interference from government and media will cease to disrupt those rights!  So Moms, Aunts, Sisters, Grandmothers, Godmothers, and all women who value family and liberty, ages 18 to 118, when it is time to vote, please join us in doing so!
