After becoming First Lady of California, Maria Shriver said in an interview that one of her goals was to “empower mothers”! “How do we get women,” she said, “to stop saying, ‘I’m just a mother.’ Or, ‘I used to be such and such but now I’m just a mother?’ We need to market motherhood. So I came up with a saying: ‘Motherhood: 24/7 on the frontlines of humanity. Are you man enough to try it?”
Women have a powerful influence in their home and family, their community, and nation. As a woman fulfills her unique role as mother and homemaker, she will be in a powerful position to heal the nation.
