5 Ways Moms Can Save The Nation: America Needs You Now!

There is a group in America that is too often overlooked.

You know who you are. Sometimes we feel written off as we rock a messy ponytail, baseball cap, and comfy jeans – juggling an insulated tumbler, a shopping list, and multiple kids while navigating the grocery store or a school pickup line. Our most noble service in raising amazing little humans is denigrated by TikTok “wisdom” claiming that motherhood is somehow less than.

For me, leaving corporate life and cute clothes for my stretchy pants and t-shirt caused me to remember my favorite pumps and lunches out with fondness – and a little longing. Still, amid sleepless nights and Cheerios behind every sofa cushion - there are no Jimmy Choo’s that can compare with the treasure of having children. My three girls remain my grandest accomplishment and God’s greatest gift. I hope you feel the same about your precious ones!

What our detractors don’t understand - and you must never forget- is that moms are a thrumming power source that not only flows through our families and homes, but also in our communities – and throughout the nation. Here at Moms for America, we are dedicated to helping you find your voice and encouraging you to exert your considerable influence to impact culture.

  1. Lift Your Voice

Don’t you love Karoline Leavitt?

Seriously, she rocks cute outfits and unwavering confidence while slicing and dicing left-leaning journalists who traffic in fake news. She has been a beautiful example of patriotic service and influence - even in her earliest days of motherhood.

It was during the 2024 presidential campaign. President Trump had taken the stage on a sunny July day in Butler, Pennsylvania. Within moments, shots rang out, the President was struck by a bullet to the ear, and rose, fist in the air, with his words resonating: “Fight, fight, fight!”

Meanwhile, Karoline had just given birth to her first child, a son, Nicholas “Niko” Robert Riccio, just four days earlier. Given the gravity of the assassination attempt and her calling to represent the soon-to-be-elected President Trump, she made the decision to forego her maternity leave to return to work in support of the campaign – and the future of America.

Even so, the young mom found a way to care for her son while making history as the youngest press secretary ever. Now, with two little ones, she spends every possible moment with them – all while distinguishing herself as one of the most articulate, confident, and informed professionals facing a hostile media day after day.

You may not feel you have skills or expertise to put the fake news media on notice – but your voice, mama, is every bit as important.

Where is your voice needed in your sphere of influence? Never fall into the belief that you have nothing to say. You’ve got hard-earned wisdom, grit, and mama bear instincts. Whether you are speaking out about a bad policy in your school to a teacher or an administrator, or writing a mom-blog to encourage other like-minded women to stand up for the protection of children in the community – your voice is needed!

If you’re not sure where to start, why not explore the many tools, tips, and opportunities we offer here at Moms for America? We are banding together with moms from every state, raising our voices as one for the future of our nation. We offer Cottage Meetings, educational opportunities, and our Liberty Kids Club. If you’re considering a run for school board or city council, or if you’d like to learn a little more about homeschooling – we’ve got you. Consider becoming a 1776 Founding Member and lock arms with an army of mothers fighting for faith, family, and freedom.

  1. Exercise Your Influence

It’s easy to fall into the trap of feeling powerless, especially when social media “influencers” disrespect us.

It all changes when you discover that your child faces a Gender Unicorn lesson in the classroom, or was given a white-privilege quiz, or witnessed a drag-queen exhibition at a school-sponsored event. That’s enough to wake up even the most introverted American mom!

You are the watchman standing guard over your children, and you hold sway in their lives as advocate, teacher, defender, and protector. Your influence is vital to your family, your church, your community – your city – and your sphere of social influence that can extend as far as the internet allows - which can be pretty big. Just ask the thousands of conservative moms, online influencers with an active social media presence, bold thought, and fearless commentary. If you’re already online posting videos of your summer vacation, a Bible verse, or your cat (who doesn’t love a good cat video?) – why not use your platform for even more?

Allie Beth Stuckey is a mom, author, and influencer with a podcast called Relatable, where she discusses cultural issues, news, and politics from a conservative Christian perspective. Her 2024 book release, Toxic Empathy: How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion, raised eyebrows and captured the attention of friends and foes in the national media. Though she has several million followers and somewhere in the neighborhood of 100,000 who listen to her podcast weekly, that’s not where she started. Before anyone knew her name – or Allie Beth’s first book hit shelves, she shared her conservatism to a much smaller crowd at sorority meetings during her college days at the University of Georgia. Don’t be afraid of small beginnings.

  1. Develop Discernment

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders started small. Very small.

Her first work in politics was at the tender age of nine – stuffing envelopes for her dad’s 1992 US Senate campaign. Though her dad, Mike Huckabee, now US Ambassador to Israel, didn’t win that race, he went on to be beloved as the Governor of Arkansas for more than a decade. His daughter now governs her home state with that same family wisdom, after serving as press secretary for President Trump’s first term.

She learned leadership from the best, and as the 47th Governor of Arkansas, she is known for practical conservatism, limited government, and common-sense policies. Leading a state is no small job – it takes wisdom, discernment, decisiveness and dedication.

You may not find yourself in a Governor’s mansion – but you have been given your own place of leadership in your family, among your friends – in your school and community. It’s easy to be outraged when things aren’t going right and much harder to actually affect change – but you can do it, mamas. Because God promises to give wisdom to all who believe and ask for it,1 you can approach your local challenges with strategy and effective action.

If you identify a need in your child’s school or your city, seek wisdom and a plan for the most effective approach. This is another area where we invite you to seek our help. Founder of Moms for America, Kimberly Fletcher has spent more than 20 years developing the best strategies for moms to bring needed change to challenges in their cities – and nationally. We’d love to hear from you!

  1. Stand Your Ground

There’s strategy needed - but even more, we must have determination to hold our ground when trouble comes.

A few years ago, Erin Lee and her husband faced the unthinkable in a small Colorado community. Deceptive teachers lured their daughter to attend an after-school art club. In fact, they did not do art at all. It was a front for a gender and sexuality-focused indoctrination group, where predatory leaders shared sexual content, gender transition, and coached the kids on how to keep secrets from their parents. When Erin and her husband rescued their girl by removing her from school, the administration resisted their parental choice - even sending Child Protective Services to their home.

Erin is a mom like you. She was forced into activism to protect her children. She did not relent, and despite the school’s pushback, she fought to save her daughter. Her work as an activist, now on behalf of America’s kids, continues. You can learn more about the outrageous experiences her family endured in the documentary The Art Club Movie.2

She is one of many parents who have seen their children preyed upon by those in the education system bent on ideological indoctrination. So many stories – scary, sad, and often tragic.

It’s true, your kids need you to stand your ground on their behalf – teaching and guiding them while shielding them from troubling cultural trends – and nefarious forces. Beyond that, as moms like you stand up for what is right, it will create a ripple effect that can impact the future of our nation.

  1. Raise Your Patriots

The greatest contribution you can make to save America is in the lives of your own young patriots. As you raise your children to understand faith, freedom, and right from wrong – you are paving the way to protect the liberty and ideals we’ve known throughout our lives.

Though leftist, socialist forces have infiltrated our land, discouraging people from tradition, marriage, having children, and embracing faith, you are raising the next generation of proud Americans who will raise a standard once more. They will stand solidly for America and her founding principles, stemming the cultural slide. Moms for America offers resources for Raising Patriots that we hope you’ll explore.

You are uniquely gifted for your role as a mom. You are called. Much rests on your shoulders, but you are ready for it. As you lean into your influence, wisdom, and determination – raising your voice - you will join millions of moms determined to save the land we love.

“The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world,” is more than a line from the 1865 poem by William Ross Wallace – it is a powerful truth that echoes throughout America’s history – and into our future.

Podcast Note: We caught up with Politics for Her founder and conservative creator Erika Choinka, along with Julianna Ormond of Watchmen Action — two women committed to helping women find their voice, build confidence, and step boldly into their influence in today’s complicated culture.
