Patriotism's Trending - 4 Ways Your Family Can Join the Fun

There's something in the air. You can feel it – the electricity of unexpected encounters, laced with humor, wide-eyed wonder, and joyful disbelief. Fervor for American culture and experiences is dominating the social media ecosystem as 1.24 million international visitors fill the streets of Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, Miami, and more. They traverse our great states between matches during their visit to the FIFA World Cup in the US. This collection of colorful competitors and newfound friends is discovering America for the very first time.
America Discovered By the World
Our international friends have marveled at Big Gulps, Buc-ee's, rodeos, Waffle House, and Chick-fil-A. Some have embraced the refillable soda at restaurants and fast-food joints as a luxury unparalleled in their homeland. Elsa discovered ranch dressing for the first time, begging Europe to bring the American flavor home, and another Swedish visitor claimed to have had an out-of-body experience at Golden Corral.
A Japanese man wrote that he felt the free chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant had been "unearned." Feeling compelled to eat two more baskets of chips to avoid offending, he kept eating as they refilled them. Truly hitting a cultural wall with the concept of "bottomless" chips. Apparently, it is proper to finish a gift of food, so he did his best to adhere to his native social graces. He left happy but unable to eat his meal. Lesson learned.
Japanese fans stayed behind to clean up stadiums after matches, and now fans from other nations are following suit. It's a free-for-all of friendliness, competition, lots of eating – and even more fun.
The Scots invaded Boston before the Haiti v Scotland match, overpowering the city with bagpipes, singing, dancing, and more than a few beers. A large group in a bar was filmed belting out the John Denver classic, "Take Me Home Country Road," their pronounced accents, raucous enthusiasm, and alcohol giving that American classic a distinctly different flavor. They thoroughly enjoyed their time, especially when they served up a humorous (especially after a few drinks) prank in Boston -placing traffic cone hats on statues throughout the City by the Bay. I'll take that over burning police cars, any day.
Leftists who've sought to influence others to hate our nation – especially what it stands for – are drowned out by these celebratory posts from global visitors who are experiencing, arguably, the trip of a lifetime. Suddenly, disparaging our nation doesn't seem so cool.
Karoline Leavitt posted on X, "The World Cup is the worst thing to happen to Democrats. The entire world is visiting the US, singing its praises & loving everything about our country. They want to be us, and the democrats can't stand it." (Double laughing emojis)
The most famous of these posters is Freddy from Germany. No doubt you've heard of his road trip through the South, posting with amazement about the size of American homes, Bass Pro Shops, Chili's, Waffle Houses, and more. His appreciation for his numerous experiences brought national attention, and the farther he traveled, the more people – even celebrities like JJ Watt, former football player (Houston Texans), who welcomed Freddy and his crew to town, providing luxury accommodations filled with lots of swag – and even Texas barbecue. He entered the US with 11,000 followers on X and now has mesmerized more than 640,000 who clicked the follow button and eagerly await his next adventure.
What's The Deal?
So many of our FIFA World Cup tourists seem shocked by finding America's bigness, kindness, and hospitality. Why? Well, if you listen to world media, you'd believe that the US is filled with danger, random arrests, and near-civil war. That's what you get when you trust the media. Now many are learning the truth – even as American youth struggle to overcome the indoctrination received in school – those who visit are overcome by the size of our soda cups – and…well…freedom.
With all the unrest and suspicion promoted in broadcast and social media, it seems we and our European, Japanese, Aussie, Kiwi, and other international friends can all agree on one thing: America.
Four Ways to Join the Fun
As patriotic fervor rises in America, we encourage you to join the fun with your family. You may not be present at a World Cup match this year, but you can celebrate this one-of-a-kind American summer with your kids and community.
Here are four ways to bring the fun home for your family.
This year, as our nation commemorates 250 years, it's time to really deck out our homes and our families – not to celebrate for a day – but to commemorate the entire year with patriotic flair.
With your kids, create plans to add bunting, maybe a new flag, and other patriotic décor to the outside and inside of your home. You're making a statement and setting the pace for your community. Don't forget the patriotic t-shirts and accessories for the whole family. Moms for America Store
Plan cookouts, parties, and other events to celebrate our nation's heritage – or invite friends over to screen a patriotic movie followed by s'mores in the backyard. Find recipes your children can help prepare that feature red, white, and blue – or crafts that they can do to learn about and celebrate this special summer.
Remember – what you invest in shows your young ones what you value. Place a premium on expressing and celebrating America, and they will carry that legacy of national pride to their children.
2. Read, Listen, and Watch Together

3. Plan A Family Adventure
We often encourage moms to consider adding a historic visit to the summer vacation plans. It may not always be the first thought when planning that seasonal getaway. Still, we guarantee it will be one your family will never forget. Seeing the places that history happened, whether it's visiting Pearl Harbor during your trip to a Hawaiian beach – or traveling back in time with a stay at Historic Williamsburg, your kids will get a one-of-a-kind opportunity to hear the stories and walk the places where great Americans contended for our nation, creating the path toward the liberty we enjoy - and the exceptional experiences that find our current world visitors astounded.
You may consider taking a trip to see Old North Church and The Paul Revere House in Boston, or the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall in Philadelphia, or both. Or you may want to cut to the chase and experience the many offerings of Washington, DC and Northern Virginia with the 17 Smithsonian museums and the National Zoological Park. If you take that big trip, don't miss other opportunities like visiting Mt. Vernon, The Spy Museum, and the Museum of the Bible. Then, you'll be busy with the many beautiful monuments throughout that region. Better make it at least a full week!
There's something to do in every state of the union. You don't have to go all the way to the East Coast. Maybe you'll choose a road trip through your own state. Use our Liberty Trips Map to learn about historic attractions nearby – some even off the beaten path that you won't want to miss. Liberty Kids Club | Moms Town Square
4. Keep an Eye on the White House
President Trump promised to celebrate America as never before during his term, and so far – he has not disappointed. He commemorated the Army's 250th birthday with a massive military parade and all-day festivities last year. Turns out, he was only getting started.
Most recently, the President hosted UFC matches in an American extravaganza called UFC Freedom 250, which Jay Williams (ESPN) called 'better' than the NBA finals. The arena erected on the South lawn of the White House seated 4,000 and featured a 600-ton arch called "The Claw." There were red, white, and blue stages and the octagon with lights and giant LED screens to catch the action and replays. A dramatic military flyover marked the beginning of the event. Just shows you that when our President makes an offhand comment about maybe having fights at the White House, something never done before, you can believe it will probably happen!
Democrats called it disrespectful to host such an event on the hallowed grounds of the White House. But, come on, those same critics applauded when Biden hosted a Pride event on the same lawn, complete with gyrating drag queens and a transgender activist who had to be banned for posing topless. So, please, spare us your tears over President Trump's truly patriotic display of American showmanship – and competition.
Coming up, our Nation's Capital will host a history-making fireworks spectacular set to begin right after a White House concert on July 4th. The display – set to last around 40 minutes will include 860,000 individual fireworks firing from 10 different locations around the city, including the Reflecting Pool, the Lincoln Memorial, and from barges on the Potomac River. That explosive commemoration is set to outstrip the previous record set by the Philippines in 2016, with their measly 810,000 firework shells ringing in the New Year. We had to crush that record because…America.
Moms Lead the Way
It's up to us, mamas, to turn the tide for our kids, helping them develop healthy patriotism and American pride. Many of their friends are being indoctrinated to believe our nation unworthy of honor and fatally flawed. You can show them the truth that, thankfully, many are beginning to see.
Just ask the Japanese guy enjoying his first Texas barbecue, the Frenchman "blown away" by the air conditioning blasting in every building, and our German friend marveling at the welcoming, hospitable American culture.
Seize this moment to help your family dive into the fun and celebration of this important year – the commemoration of our 250th birthday and the rediscovery of America's greatness.
Podcast Note: This week, we sat down with author and Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy to discuss her new book, All American Patriotism: Celebrating 250 Years of America's Greatness. It's an inspiring, timely conversation you won't want to miss. Tune in every Tuesday, at 10am EST to listen to the podcast on your favorite platform: YouTube, Rumble, Spotify or Apple
